X ways of death
The thrilling finale to the hunt for the motiveless killer
Swedish bestselling thriller writer Stefan Ahnhem's thriller finishes the thrilling game of the title Motive X.
There's a motive behind every murder. In some cases, however, this is unfortunately a mere illusion. It is night and an inflatable boat with a single passenger is leaving the harbour at Helsingborg. He has a sword strapped to his back. His task was determined by the dice: Someone has to die. He just doesn't know who yet. Meanwhile, local police are trying to investigate several seemingly unrelated murder cases. Just when it seems they've finally succeeded, another victim is found and the detectives, including Fabian Risk, are forced to confess: None of what we know is true. And to try, together with our Danish colleagues, to catch someone who doesn't need a motive to kill - but knows a plethora of ways to do it.

Stefan Ahnhem
He lives in Stockholm and has been writing scripts for television and film studios for more than twenty years - among other things, he has written several episodes of the Swedish series Wallander. He made his literary debut in 2014 with the crime novel The Faceless Victim, in which he skillfully, intelligently and attractively combined a psychological thriller, an action-packed serial murder plot and the tradition of the Nordic school of detective fiction. And he opened the Fabian Risk case series, which he followed up with two more titles.
