Woman in the library

Australian detective novelist Freddie Kincaid is coming to America thanks to a generous scholarship. Now he sits helplessly in the Boston Public Library over a blank page, searching in vain for inspiration. And so he starts looking at the other visitors. She is particularly interested in three people – an exceptionally handsome man who is also constantly writing things down (another writer? ), young man, whom he tips for a law student, and a tattooed girl, In love with the supposed lawyer at first sight, whom Freddie nicknames Miss Freud.
The deathly silence in the study is suddenly cut through by a woman' s scream - ominous, suggesting that a crime has probably taken place in this venerable institution. So the writer finally found inspiration on her own. In addition to bringing new friends into her life, the murder of journalist Caroline Palfrey also involved her in the investigation of a complicated case in which she would soon figure as one of the suspects.
The award-winning detective novel The Woman in the Library is an ingenious novel in which several levels intertwine. The nascent book of the main character Freddie, but also a real detective story, of which she becomes a part through no fault of her own. And as it soon becomes clear, every person, including herself, has something in their life that they hide from others and from themselves.
