The Dark Tower series describes the journey of the main (anti-)hero Roland Deschain of Gilead, the last "gunslinger", in his search for the Dark Tower.
In this episode, Ronald and his Ka-tet once again embark on a journey to find the Dark Tower. But they are surprised by villagers from nearby Calla and ask for help. For the pistoliers of the house of Eld are known not to refuse requests for help. The village is plagued by "wolf" raids that take place every 21 years. During these raids, the wolves always take one of all the twins that are born in Calla. Roland discovers that the village priest is hiding the Black Thirteen under the floorboards. On top of that, time does what it wants. The days are not as long as they used to be, and even a small delay can thwart the quest for the Dark Tower.
