Martin Goffy's Without a Body is a loose sequel to the successful novel The Man with the Tired Eyes
When on a May morning a notorious thief, Krajka, decides to open the bathroom door during a fairly ordinary burglary, he has no idea what a horrible spectacle awaits him inside. A few weeks later, after a brutal attack, he himself dies, leaving the detectives only a few confused and frightened sentences about what he actually saw. Or what did he think he was seeing? Because until the last moment it is not certain whether the murder he is talking about actually happened. The dead body is missing.
In a thriller with a detective plot, a loose sequel to the successful novel The Man with the Tired Eyes, reveals the author, a former criminal himself, step-by-step ways of working and thinking of police officers over the case, which is different from the others in many ways. Not only is the victim missing, but it's as if the crime scene doesn't even exist. The only clue is the confused testimony of a dying man, but instead of answers it offers only a lot of question marks...
