A Story from Sandefjord
In Sandefjord, Norway, Liv lives a quiet, secluded life: a single mother, exhausted from work and struggling to make ends meet. She has never revealed her secrets to her autistic son, whose greatest love is aeroplanes, nor has she told him about her life before he was born. But for his safety, she is prepared to do anything.
Anastasia moves to Milan, where she starts her new life as a model. She is in demand and has plenty of money. But everything has its flip side – the closely watched fashion shows, the sun-drenched Italian palaces, and the wild parties in the mansions of the rich. She soon realises she will do anything to escape this world.
In Oslo lives investigative journalist Selma. She deals with scandals in the fashion industry, but so far she has not managed to get her story into the papers. Then a woman in Sandefjord suddenly disappears. And Selma is about to uncover the biggest case of her career.
