Private investigator Julie Stark receives an unannounced visitor to her office. Per Günter Mott, one of the owners of the successful family business, had attended a company meeting the previous day at his estate in the north-west of Sweden. In the morning, he found a photo on his phone of a bloody man tied up with a bag over his head. However, due to memory lapses caused by the large amount of alcohol he drank, he has no idea how the picture got on his phone or who is captured in it. Fearing for his reputation, Per Günter wants Julia to clear his name before the police get involved.
