A true story of love at a ripe old age
The story of two forty-somethings, Irena and Petr, who are unexpectedly struck by their feelings for each other. Both are very vulnerable and at the same time willing to undergo the martyrdom of love once more. Both successful, both attractive enough for each other... How is that not enough to sustain a relationship?, they soon wonder, each in their own way.
Each from his position is determined to see the truth about the other, but not about himself, each from his own perspective describes their gradual rapprochement and estrangement, but most of all their coming to terms with the fact that all their managerial skills are useless. They'll experience as much in a month and a half as any couple does in a lifetime. It's a roller coaster ride and there's drama too, with lives at stake.
The weight of past experiences is dragging them both down, and neither of them can almost ride the waves of their relationship episode. They both know that it's not enough to want, and the recipe is not even a bed, where the two of them are the only ones who can manage it (enviably). Something completely different and often too rare in the society in which they move - openness - applies to their minds.
