We did good, boy.

Anthony Hopkins: Life Unmasked

I have a photo on my phone of me as a child with my father on the beach. I often say to that little boy, ‘We did well, kid.’ I sometimes wonder how a boy from Wales, the son of a baker, got here. My whole life is one big secret. This book tells my story.— Sir Anthony Hopkins
Oscar-winning actor Anthony Hopkins has written his long-awaited autobiography, in which he looks back on his admirable acting career and shares previously undisclosed details from his personal life with readers, including his battle with alcohol addiction. Hopkins openly describes the key moments of his life's journey and offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at his brilliant acting work. With complete honesty, he also addresses the darker periods of his personal life. His addiction cost him his first marriage, his relationship with his only child, and almost his own life. It was this experience that ultimately led him to the decision to stay sober. The book, We Did Well, Kid, also includes a special collection of personal photographs and presents a raw and passionate memoir of an iconic figure who has been inspiring audiences with his extraordinary performances for over sixty years.
