Voluntary homeless - senior

The phenomenon of voluntary homelessness, not only of the elderly, is still an understudied area in the Czech environment and its existence is often neglected or even denied in professional sources.

This publication asks what characterises today's homeless people, especially the elderly, and what reasons lead them to choose this lifestyle. The presented longitudinal research, which was carried out on a selected sample of seniors who remain in a state of homelessness by their own will, opens a discussion on the possibilities of further research on this issue.
