Vladimír Škutina: The world as a rainbow ball

The book The World as a Glass Rainbow Ball was written by the publicist and former "prisoner of the president" Vladimír Škutina in the 1970s in prison as letters to his young daughter Jana, so that she would know where her father came from, what kind of city Prague was, and what life was like in the Czech Republic before February 1948, at the time of Škutina's childhood. The book surprises with a lyrical note, unexpected for a publicist, which also attracted Jaroslav Seifert, who provided the book with a kindly recommendatory afterword.
