Visibility

The novel Zviditelnění (Becoming Visible) presents an existential space where, against the backdrop of the disintegrating relationship between Lukáš, a young and ambitious philosophy student, and Julie, an acting student, fundamental questions such as love in its various meanings, anxiety, loneliness, and freedom are explored. The second storyline offers glimpses into the final days of Jan Palach, whose actions Lukáš attempts to understand in a unique way. In his debut novel, the author tries to show how deeply the philosophical way of thinking is intertwined with our everyday lives.
