The Fate of the Chocolate Dynasty
Hamburg, 1919. The events of the war have thwarted the plans of the Hannemann family, who have been cocoa importers for several generations and own the company Hannemann & Tietz. Young, enterprising and passionate Frieda, the family’s second child, manages to take over the company in place of her irresponsible brother. This is, of course, only after she proves her remarkable business skills in a new venture – the production of chocolate delicacies – despite the mistrust of her mother and the city's circle of wealthy cocoa merchants.
Although Frieda spends her time studying and creating new recipes, her family wants her to marry a man who is on the horizon and who would be able to get the company's accounts back in order. But the girl's heart already belongs to another.
The only way not to say goodbye to happiness and accept the fate that others have chosen for her is to focus on her culinary experiments to prevent Hannemann & Tietz from going bankrupt in the difficult post-war period.
