Václav Čtvrtek: About Four Water Wafers (1975)

Václav Čtvrtek is particularly popular because he draws the motifs of his fairy tales from folk art, full of mysterious figures and supernatural creatures. Rumcajs the Robber, Poppy seed doll, Křemílek and Vochomůrka, Forman Sheitrocek, Chepecek the waterman and other characters belong in fairy tales and yet, like we might meet them. Václav Čtvrtek's stories are full of comfort and a sense of justice, which is why they are so popular with listeners.
