V. K. Klicpera.
Who has contributed most to the flourishing of his home village - the miller, the winemaker, the brewer or the teacher? Only he will become the new foreman of the town and will get the beautiful daughter of the steward as his wife. While the unsealed decree of the prince's appointment is already on the table, a hasty courtship takes place, in which the suitors compete primarily for the favour of the bride's mother. Even though the manager is not yet clear about her future son-in-law, she definitely knows who she will never marry off her daughter to. Could Minka be happy with someone who didn't show her mother the respect she deserved? The one-act comedy V. K. Klicpera Every Something for the Fatherland was arranged for radio by Jaromír Ptáček. In November 1952 (on the anniversary of the author's birth) it was filmed by director Ludvík Pompe. Under his direction, the main roles were played by Jiřina Šejbalová, Nina Jiránková, Otakar Brousek st., Jaroslav Beyvl, František Vnouček, Rudolf Hrušínský st., Jaroslav Seník and others. Please excuse the poorer quality of the older audio recording.
