Two victims

Detective Superintendent Rachel King is called to an abandoned construction site where the body of Agnes Moore has been discovered. After examining the crime scene, another unpleasant surprise awaits the detectives under a layer of soil – a second body, this time of an unknown young girl. Rachel finds herself in a frantic race against time – her superiors are breathing down her neck, the investigation is hampered by a lack of evidence, and to top it all off, Jed MacAteer, a man from the criminal underworld she once loved years ago, unexpectedly reappears in her life.
