Treasure
Count Jan Antonín Harbuval Chamaré lives at Potštejn Castle and has spent many years searching for a mysterious treasure in the ruins of Potštejn Castle on the hill above the village. At the end of 1780, the young Doctor Kamenický arrives at Potštejn Castle. Kamenický causes a stir with his progressive views, but comes into conflict with the fanatical Catholic clergyman Abbé Steydel. The conflict ends with Emperor Joseph II's declaration of the Patent of Toleration in 1781. The book was adapted into the film The Treasure of Count Chamaré (1984).
