Touch the stars

With every breath in the thin, icy air, I came closer to fulfilling my dream. To death as well, which was just waiting for the slightest hesitation. I was aware of my own fragility, complete exhaustion, and at the same time, a powerful joy of being. 2019 was truly kind to my mountain expeditions. New ascents brought me recognition and an award for the best mountaineering achievement in the world. However, climbing isn't about podiums, but about the experience of touching beautiful peaks under a sky full of stars.
