Too many suspects

The Provincial Assembly meets in Kutná Hora. At the beginning of the event in the Church of St. Jacob's Church holds a mass during which Hynek of Lichtenburg is murdered by someone. A few days later, another murder occurs. In an alley in Kutná Hora, the dead body of another participant of the Diet, Breynek from Riesenburg, is found. The task of finding the perpetrators of both murders is entrusted to the assistant royal judge Jakub Protiva of Protivec, who is assisted in the investigation by his witty friend, the monk Blasius.
The second story begins at Karlštejn, where, in the absence of King Wenceslas IV. the royal council is in session. On the very first night, her actions turn into a wild drinking binge, which is not without consequences. In the morning, the body of Ctibor Berka of Dubá, a prominent leader of the Czech nobility, is found in the castle well. Did he die accidentally or was he killed deliberately?
