This is Russia

This book offers a slightly different perspective on Russia. It is not a defence of the majority of Russian society, nor of the regime, but rather a description of certain events and phenomena to which the Czech media, for various reasons, often pay no attention. It is a reflection of the personal observations of the author, who lives in Russia. It's also about Russians, as well as Czechs and Ukrainians, who have tied their fate to Russia. This kaleidoscope of stories, some a hundred years old and others from our own time, is a vivid illustration of how history has a tendency to repeat itself in Russia.
