Thirteen Clan Mothers

Jamie Sams, a member of the Wolf Clan Teachers Lodge, brings us a powerful new way to honor and incorporate Indigenous feminine wisdom into our daily lives. Sams created the Thirteen Native Clan Mothers by combining the rich oral tradition passed down to her by two Kiowa Grandmothers - Cisi Tickling Crow and Bertha Broken Bow - and her own experience of personal healing and guidance received from the Elder Women. Each Clan Mother brings specific teachings, relates to one cycle of the month of the year, and is the bearer of personal totems, talents and gifts that can help each of us develop our own gifts and talents.
