The game expansion Theatre of War 2: Africa 1943 is a real-time strategy that will take you into the events of 1943 in Tunisia. In the role of commander of the Afrika Korps, supported by the Italian army, or at the head of the Allied forces, you will try to turn the tide of the war in North Africa. There are 15 missions awaiting you, divided into German, American and British campaigns. The game offers more than 50 different types of vehicles, urban combat and online multiplayer. The base game Theatre of War 2 is required for activation and play.

Historical Campaign in North Africa

The story focuses on the fighting in Tunisia in 1943, when the Afrika Korps units attempt a counter-offensive after the defeat at El-Alamein. Within the three campaigns, you will get to experience commanding both sides of the conflict. You will either lead German troops under the command of Erwin Rommel or, in the role of American and British forces, you will try to permanently drive the Axis units out of Africa. A total of 15 historically inspired missions await you, which will test your strategic skills.

Combat Mechanics and New Features

The expansion brings new tactical options and improvements. Prepare for intense urban combat that requires a different approach than battles in the open desert. Close-quarters combat is enhanced with new animations. You will also get the ability to command anti-aircraft weapons and build anti-aircraft positions. The vehicle roster has grown to more than 50 types of vehicles, giving you a wide range of options when planning attacks and defence.

Multiplayer and Language Support

In addition to the single-player campaigns, you can compare your command skills with other players in online multiplayer. The game is available with English and Russian text, while the voice acting is entirely in English. According to the PEGI rating, the game is suitable for ages 16 and over due to the depiction of violence. To run the game, you must own a key for the Steam platform and have the base game Theatre of War 2 installed.
