Enter a haunted house with its new owner Adrienne in this thrilling horror story
Strange rumours have surrounded this house for almost one hundred years. Its owner, Edith, refused to let anyone inside and rarely visited the nearby town. After her death, her only relative, Adrienne, inherits the house. All she has is one suitcase, twenty dollars and her beloved cat. The house is an opportunity to start a new life, one she cannot afford to turn down.
Although she does not believe in ghosts, she comes across things that make her uneasy as she explores her new home. Strange inscriptions are carved into the wallpaper on the walls, an old grave is hidden in the woods near the house, and the mysterious portraits in the first-floor corridor seem to follow her every move.
As she uncovers more and more of the house's secrets, she begins to believe that the rumours about it may have a truer core than she had assumed. The building has a grim and terrifying past. Adrienne gradually discovers that something deeply unnatural and hideously vile is after her life.
