The Silence of the Lambs
The most famous book in the series about Hannibal Lecter, the brilliant killer with a taste for human flesh
Much like in Red Dragon, an FBI investigator – this time, a woman named Clarice Starling – turns to him for help in catching another crazed killer, a man nicknamed Buffalo Bill for his habit of skinning his victims alive. The ambitious Clarice takes on the task with police professionalism, but also with immense compassion for the victims of these horrific crimes.
The book was awarded the Bram Stoker Award for Best Novel in 1988 and remains one of the best and most thrilling crime thrillers of all time.
