The Shadow Principle + CD
According to the teachings of Carl Gustav Jung, the shadow is our subconscious. It is the personality we would prefer not to be, but which we must eventually become if we want to be whole. We feel our shadow, our "dark side", very ambivalently: she's annoying to us, but at the same time, she fascinates us. Working with the shadow serves the purpose of becoming conscious, and is therefore in a real sense working with the light. In fact, the shadow is our treasure, it enriches us like few other things. Based on the law of fate and the rules of the game of life, it corresponds to the most important law: the law of polarity. We can project it onto others - or we can grow personally with its help and with it.
Ruediger Dahlke shows us how to find our shadow and how to confront it so that we can finally accept it, integrate it into our personality, and maybe even begin to love it. Those who set to work on their shadow, as presented in the book, will become more open, kinder and more tolerant - towards themselves and towards others.
Dr. Ruediger Dahlke (*1951) is a German physician and psychotherapist, a pioneer of psychosomatic medicine. He is the author of more than 40 books, which have been translated into 27 languages; among the most important is Illness as the language of the soul, Illness as a symbol, Food for peace of mind, Diet for peace of mind - recipes of vegan cuisine, Peace food - Italian vegan cookbook, When the body fights the soul, The body as a mirror of the soul or the Shadow Principle, whose 2nd Czech edition you are currently viewing. In addition to his work as a psychotherapist, he writes books and organizes seminars. In 2012, he and his partner founded the TamanGa treatment and education centre near Graz, Austria, where he now lives.
