The Secret Spring of Hůrka

Think spa towns are boring during the holidays? Not when Bětka, Tom, Matouš and Dan are visiting! They're the inseparable gang you might already know from the popular book Meteorit z Mušlovky. This time, the heroes set off on an adventure to Františkovy Lázně in the former Sudetenland. Dan has brought back some miracle water with extraordinary effects, and his friends decide to search for its mysterious spring. Will a map in a German-language diary they find in the attic of Dan's relatives lead them to it? What fate befell its author, a Sudeten German girl named Ilse? And the suspicious stranger who is constantly on their tail—is he an ally or an enemy? The holiday trip to the spa town leads the friends deep into an extinct volcano, and the thrilling finale will not only reveal the mystery of the spring but also a seventy-five-year-old story of Czech-German friendship.
