The ruler on stage

The continuing stories of the country nobleman and doctor in the king's service, Petr of Siorac

The story takes us to France between the years 1572–1588. We find ourselves right in the middle of the religious wars and power struggles that shook the entire country at the end of the sixteenth century. During this time, Petr of Siorac leaves his native Mespech for good.
His exuberant and reckless youth also comes to an end; he marries his beloved Angelina and becomes a physician and secret agent for King Henry III. The plot is therefore no longer confined to France, as we also visit the court of the English Queen Elizabeth I, for example. We get to know in detail the court customs and vices of the time, as well as the sorrows and joys of private life. And together with the wise physician Petr of Siorac, we reflect on the question of human tolerance and courage.
