Hundreds of thousands of people have moved from Earth to the lunar habitat of Arkádie. With so many people, no one noticed that rock star Elvis Presley was among them. Who would have thought that immortalism was already extending the lives of celebrities back in the twentieth century?
Under a different name, but rich and powerful, Presley lives on the Moon until his fate intertwines with the lives of antiquarians Kuba Nedomý and Kazik Prus, better known as the cyborg Dědek Čuchák. When a swarm of robot ninjas bursts onto the scene, all hell breaks loose.
In Arkádie, which has become a refuge for enterprising, free-thinking, and tolerant people from five continents, villains are always to be found. They have a chance to achieve their goals... unless, of course, they run into Kuba and Dědek Čuchák.
Ondřej Neff
Born in 1945 in Prague. He wrote his first sci-fi story at the age of ten and has been dedicated to the genre his whole life. He prefers classic hard adventure sci-fi (the Arkádie, Milénium, and Pán Modrého meče series), which also includes his new book Zlatý pomeranč, part of the Arkádie cycle. His dystopia Tma also attracted attention from mainstream readers. He has published shorter texts in a number of short story collections (Vejce naruby, Zepelín na Měsíci, Bůh s. r. o., etc.). He is a lifelong fan of Jules Verne, having retold ten of his novels for a new generation of readers. To these, he added his own steampunk trilogy, Tajemství pěti světadílů. Ondřej Neff lives near Prague. Influenced by his wife, actress Ljuba Krbová, he has swapped karate for Chinese tai chi and rides an electric bike instead of a motorbike. He enjoys photography, walking his dogs in the woods, and sticking his nose into politics on his web magazine, Neviditelný pes. For the Arkádie cycle, he is preparing a revised version of his novel Rock mého života, and what comes next remains to be seen.
