When Allison Carter became my assistant four years ago, I was rock solid convinced I would have her. It took a whole year, and then everything between us started to change. She changed. And gradually we got to the point we are at now. We absolutely cannot stand each other. Every single day is filled with verbal sparring, petty digs, and suffering. But there's a thin line between love and hate. All it takes is a few business trips together for me to understand that what I painfully longed for back then has never gone away. Tough luck for me, because she probably hates me more and more each day. What's more, she's convinced that she belongs forever to that scoundrel she lives with.
