The Red Star is falling
The spirit of the Cold War is resurrected in agent Luke Daniels' second mission
Luke Daniels is just finishing a mission for the Magellan Billet when he is unexpectedly approached by a CIA representative with whom he worked on Operation Sommerhaus—a failed attempt to establish a spy network in Ukraine on the eve of the Russian invasion. Sommerhaus is one of the mistakes Luke regrets in his life, as during that operation, his friend John Vince was captured and most likely executed by Russian operatives. However, Luke learns that Vince is alive. He is not in good shape and is imprisoned in a harsh Russian prison on the Solovetsky Islands. He has information that he will only entrust to Luke. And so, Luke vows to save Vince.
A series of dramatic events leads Luke to search for the legendary library of Tsar Ivan the Terrible. Among the rare manuscripts lies the key to a modern cipher and to stopping the secret Soviet satellite programme, Red Star, which threatens the entire world. Other people are also looking for the library, but they want to restore the secret programme and unleash its destructive potential. Luke's mission is clear: find the library, solve the puzzle, and prevent the fall of the Red Star.
