The Pied Piper

Viktor Dyk's famous novella transforms the old legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin into a dark yet romantic story of love, betrayal and justice. A mysterious piper, who can control not only rats but also human hearts with his pipe, comes to the town to rid it of its pests. However, the townspeople break their promise and refuse to pay him. When the piper also learns of the betrayal of his beloved Agnes, his pain turns into a decision to take revenge on the corrupt town.
