The Philosophy of Presuppositions. A Summary.
In today's world full of uncertainties, we are all looking for a foothold from which we can set out to understand reality so that we can change it for ourselves.
I find this point (along with Descartes) in the certainty of “I am aware” and on it I build my path to certainty. In doing so, I see that it cannot begin other than with the assumption that my reasoning has meaning. Only when we accept it can we continue and hope that it will be confirmed in the further steps of our understanding.
This principle then lies at the foundation of the entire intellectual project, which I call the “philosophy of assumptions”.
