The perspective of resurrection
The Easter confession that Jesus was resurrected is a fundamental starting point for both Christian faith and Christian theology. This book therefore begins with this essential internal perspective on Christianity, using insights from internal realism and semiotics, and taking into account the postmodern age with its irreducible plurality. On this basis he tries to build a contemporary conception of the most central theological topic - Christology; Thus, it seeks to answer the question of who Jesus Christ was and is and what is his significance to the whole of reality. He conceives of Christology as ontological Christology. Gallus therefore critically examines both traditional Chalcedonian Christology and the Christological concepts of recent decades and presents his own original solutions. His conception is based on the conviction that a consistent Christology is only possible against a background of consistently Trinitarian thinking and a dynamic conception of God and man. He comes up with a model of God's accommodation that is the basis for the concept of the incarnation and Jesus' death as the death of God, and extends the implications of this model to anthropology, soteriology, eschatology, and interreligious dialogue.
