The perfect grave

ICE HIDES MANY SECRETS. INCLUDING THE BODY OF A LITTLE BOY…

When an open grave is found near an abandoned highway in Stillwater, Minnesota, FBI Special Agent Nikki Hunt knows exactly whose bodies it' s hiding. The first victim is the missing boy Kellan Rhodes, for whom he has been searching diligently for the last two days. The second was his mother, Dana, whom Nikki considered the prime suspect in his kidnapping. The cuts on Dana' s body indicate that she killed her son and then herself. However, Nikki finds someone else' s shoe prints at the crime scene.

When local journalist Caitlin Newport discovers that another child has gone missing, she immediately connects the two cases: Zach Reeves was taken from his mother as a result of legal battles, just like Kellan was.

Caitlin had previously helped Nikki uncover the truth about her parents' murder, but her pursuit of a juicy story nearly cost the agent her life. Now Nikki must decide if she can trust Caitlin again. Can they find the killer before Zach ends up at the bottom of the icy grave too?
