Victims of war events
Audiobook The Mystery of the Goldfinch, by Zuzana Koubková, read by Filip Jančík, directed by Ondřej Černý.
In 1318, the provincial court is overwhelmed with lawsuits. The real and alleged victims of the war are seeking compensation after the settlement between the nobility and King John of Luxembourg. But the highest court official, Petr of Rožmberk, is suspected of murdering a young Premonstratensian nun in Louňovice pod Blaníkem. Rožmberk asks for help from his judicial companion Mr. Chotek from Říčany. Chotek's brother, the johanite Zdislav, who has proven himself in the past in investigating similarly monstrous crimes, is sent to southern Bohemia.
