The Mystery of Black Oak

The brutal murder of a homeless man shakes the small town of Alberidge in Black Oak National Park. Mike Simmons, a homicide detective, solitary cynic with a broken heart and sad memories, arrives on the scene. His work trip won't exactly be a walk in the park. The local gossips give him a headache, the grumpy sheriff causes him to frown, and the young ranger, Chico, makes his hardened heart beat so fast that he can't properly focus on his work. Has a mass murderer really returned to the park after thirty years? When Chico's life is endangered, he discovers that the truth might lie somewhere else entirely. Will the detective manage to protect the young park ranger, the terrified town obsessed with a thirty-year-old legend, and catch the murderer before it's too late? No case is simple. But some can change your life forever.
