The most famous Slovak folk songs

The songbook of the most famous Slovak folk songs follows the popular orange book with songs from Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. We have tried to select the most famous Slovak folk songs from the wealth of Slovak folk songs and supplement them with light piano accompaniment and chord markers for guitar.

We believe, that the songbook will bring you as much joy as it did us, when we were preparing it, and will become your guide to making music at home, at school, with friends or just for your own pleasure. It is worth remembering how beautiful, lyrically rich and melodically diverse are the songs of our ancestors.

Our wish is that the songbook will be used not only in Slovakia but also in the Czech Republic, where until a few years ago soft Slovak and pleasant Slovak songs were widely known. The charming drawings by Kamila Skopova will also bring you closer to the beauty of Slovak folk clothing.
