The Little Prince A1/A2 (FR-CZ)
The most famous work of the French writer, journalist and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is the philosophical fairytale The Little Prince, which he wrote in New York in 1941. It was also first published there in 1943. Since then, it has been translated into more than 360 languages and is the second most-translated book in the world after the Bible.
The encounter between a perceptive man and an extraordinary little boy leads the reader to reflect on questions of good and evil and the nature of friendship, encouraging them to seek true beauty and responsibility for those we love. This publication contains an adapted version of the fairytale, retold in simplified French, so you don't have to worry about not understanding the text. The book is an excellent choice for beginner readers, whether children or adults. Each page features a parallel Czech translation, which lets you instantly check whether you have understood the foreign-language text correctly.
An MP3 audio recording, in which the story is narrated by a native speaker, is available for free download on the website.
