The left side of the Rosenbergs

In two stories from the early 15th century, the popular medieval detectives Jakub Protiva of Protivec and Blasius return to readers

In the first story, the monk Blasius is called to Krumlov as a left-handed Rosenberg monk to his dying half-brother Henry III. of Rosenberg. After his death, his will is mysteriously lost and Blasius is accused of murdering the castle chaplain Zacharias. He does manage to escape from prison, but it is only with the help of his friend, Deputy Royal Judge James Protivec of the Adversary, that he is actually rescued and cleared of the false accusation.
The second story takes place in the royal upper town of Jihlava on the border of Moravia and Bohemia. Jakub Protiva and Blasius are here to solve the mystery of the occurrence of fake coins. In addition, near the former silver mines, they encounter ghosts or permons who are not afraid of murder. Are there people behind these supernatural beings, as Jakub Protiva believes? And who is the mysterious handsome Václav from Jihlava who gets in their way?
The novels Rožmberské dědictví and Jihlava's Evil Spirit are published under this title in a new edition.
