The Josef Gočár Phenomenon

The fifth part of the Phenomena series from the Grada publishing house brings a look at Josef Gočár, following on from Bauhaus, Jan Kotěra, Jože Plečnik and Adolf Loos.
According to an expert poll from the beginning of the millennium, this very architect is the most significant personality in Czech architecture of the 20th century. The decision to publish a book about him as part of this series stems from the architect's immense diligence, his courage to experiment, and his evolving stylistic diversity, which played a fundamental role in shaping the dynamic form not only of modern architecture but of all modern art in the first half of the last century.
