The Island of Lost Horses

On a remote tropical island, twelve-year-old Beatriz stumbles upon a wild mare with a very unusual colouring. At first, she can't believe the mare is real, but soon they form a strong bond. Beatriz slowly uncovers an incredible piece of history. Several centuries ago, a young girl named Felipa and her mare Cara Blanca had to fight for their lives. The fates of Beatriz, Felipa, and their mares gradually intertwine until Beatriz realises that the future of the rare horse breed, the Abaco Barb, depends on her.
