The Island

There' s no going back. Mirjam and Nia are half-sisters, born in the same year, yet they never met until they were fourteen. As they grow up, despite the circumstances, they become best friends and experience good and bad together - first loves, first broken hearts, first secrets, first slaps from those they trusted the most.
For them, the island has always been a place that connected them, where they would gather every summer, spend sunny days by the sea, and dream about their future. Now they are to reunite, just the two of them and a few friends, to celebrate Nia' s 40th birthday. However, the peaceful place full of memories is different, torn apart by the past and strangely glued together into a kind of caricature of itself. And something is not as it should be.
