The Imperial Conspiracy

Emperor Sigismund of Luxembourg, having just finally ascended the Czech throne, dies. His wife, the beautiful and sensual Barbora Celská, is scheming behind his back to seize control of Bohemia and Hungary. Not only her lover Michal Országh, but also the Hussite noblemen Hynce Ptáček of Pirkštejn and Aleš Holický of Šternberk are to help her.

Will the Emperor promote Albrecht of Habsburg as his successor, or will Barbara succeed in crossing his plans and seizing power? Under the impression of the execution of Jan Rohac of Dubá, resistance against Sigismund rises again in Bohemia. It seems that the conspirators could not have chosen a better moment to carry out their plans. The young author Anna Březinová tells an ancient dramatic story full of passion, intrigue, love and betrayal, from which you will not be able to tear yourself away.
