The Hangman's Daughter and the Devil of Bamberg

The fifth instalment of the Hangman’s Daughter saga. In 1668, the Schongau hangman Jakob Kuisl travels to Bamberg with his daughter Magdalena and the rest of his family. But what was originally planned as a visit for a wedding soon turns into a nightmare – an unknown, cruel murderer is on the loose in Bamberg. By the river and the city gate, people are finding the limbs of his victims. A rumour quickly spreads among the inhabitants that the murders are the work of a werewolf. Jakob Kuisl dismisses these superstitions and sets out on his own to find the “devil of Bamberg”.
