The Great Flood
Everything you need to know about mummies in their first story
The Great Flood laid the foundation for the mummy world and established many themes that were further developed in later books. One of them is the importance of family.
The Great Flood is the first ever mummy story. The book was published in Finland in 1945 and follows a little mummy and his mother as they wander through the forest in late August after a flood. They are looking for their lost daddy and a place to call home. Along the way they meet Snuffle, a small animal who becomes part of the family. In a series of adventures, they encounter Bamboo, stranded kittens and blue-haired Tulip. Despite the terrible dangers and disasters the family faces, everything turns out well. The forest will part and a new valley will open before them. Moomins have found a home in the most beautiful place, which everyone will now call Moomin Valley.
It is released on 1mp3 CD.
