The Golden Mirror

Hetman Ambrož arrives in a small mining town at the invitation of an old friend to attend a wedding that is meant to unite two local feuding families. However, the house of the bride's recently deceased uncle holds a secret. Is a phantom really creeping through the secret corridors of the cold mansion, or is it all just a fabrication designed to scare the guests and prevent the marriage? The first murder soon occurs, and others are not far behind, but the killer seems to be invisible. Who has an interest in spreading fear? What lies hidden in the long-closed adit of the local silver mines? How is all of this connected to the tragedy that took place in the monastery ten years ago?
This time, the Bludov investigator must manage without his team and, with only the help of his scribe, unmask the murderer hiding behind a monkey mask.
