The God of Ends

It is the 1980s. Collete LeSange lives near the American town of Millstream Hollow and runs a French nursery, an elite preschool, in her home. However, her story began some one hundred and fifty years earlier, during a plague epidemic that did not spare even the village in western New York State, where she lived her childhood under the name Anya. A previously unknown infection gradually wiped out the inhabitants with such force that people believed it was the work of hellish forces.
Anya is the only one of her family to survive, but the local deacon and fanatic accuses her of having connections with demons and has the girl, who is also fighting for her life with all her might, locked up and guarded. However, her mysterious grandfather, whom the girl has never met before, suddenly appears in the village to save her from the deacon' s clutches and take her to his home.
Despite all the care, Anya does not recover, but just before her inevitable death, the mysterious grandfather bites her in the neck and gives her a new life, this time endless and unending. During those hundred and fifty years, the girl, who ages very slowly and feeds mostly on animal blood, repeatedly seeks her place alongside mortals, wandering across lands in a whirlwind of eternal discoveries and subsequent losses.
