"I can't forget. You told me to do it, but I can't. I still remember it all. The first lie, that's what brought us here."
When lawyer Paul Reeve arrives home from work, something's not right. The darkened house frightens him and he finds his wife Alice with a bloody letter opener in her hand and a dead body in the bathroom. Alice claims she killed in self-defence, and Paul doesn't doubt her words for a second. Together they dispose of the body and think their nightmare is over. It's not.
When the police, who are investigating the murders of Paul's former classmates, take an interest in them, their previously peaceful life begins to fall apart. The secret that had brought them together at the beginning also drove a wedge between them. Can Alice deal with what she's done? Do the murders of Paul's former classmates have anything to do with the dead body in their bathroom? Can they trust the people around them, or at least each other?
