The darker the better

Do you like it darker? Okay, me too.

Legendary storyteller Stephen King delivers an extraordinary collection of twelve short stories, many of which have never been published before and are among his best ever.
"Do you like it darker? Okay, me too," writes Stephen King in the preface to his new collection of twelve short stories, whose theme is the darker side of life - figuratively and literally. King has always been a master of the short story, and he can captivate with a few pages as much as with his famous novels. It takes the reader to dreams full of bad premonitions, to strange corners of reality where anything can happen, or to Florida, where this time a loose sequel to the legendary horror film Cujo takes place.
Two talented bastards investigate the long-hidden secret of the origin of their extraordinary abilities. In Danny Coughlin's Bad Dream, a brief and mysterious flash turns dozens of lives upside down, Danny's being the most catastrophic. In The Rattlesnake, the sequel to Cujo, a grieving widower heads to Florida to rest, and instead receives an unexpected inheritance - but with big strings attached. In the short story "The Dreamers," a taciturn Vietnam veteran answers an ad and discovers that some parts of the universe are better left unexplored. The responder, in turn, asks whether foresight is luck or bad luck, reminding us that even a life marked by unbearable tragedy can still have meaning.
