Gone Missing: The Case of Joseph King

Eight years ago, Joseph King was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his wife. According to local police, he was a 'fallen' Amish man and a known drug user with a volatile temper. Now, King has escaped from prison and is heading for the small town of Painters Mill. News of the escaped murderer spreads like wildfire, and there is tension in Police Chief Kate Burkholder's team. When King shows up in town with a pistol and abducts his five children from their Amish uncle's house, the nightmare becomes a reality. Fearing for the children's safety, Kate springs into action, but during the frantic manhunt for the killer, she falls into his clutches herself. However, King releases her unharmed and asks her to prove his innocence. And so, Kate begins her search for the truth.
