The Curse of the Japanese Necklace

Death Comes from the East

The body of a young traveller is found in an attic flat. The case is assigned to an experienced criminal investigator, Major Dalimil Knot. He enlists the help of his assistant, Emma, who officially acts as his secretary but is, in fact, helping him with the investigation. Dalimil has barely had time to check the first witnesses when another murder occurs. This time, the victim is an antique shop owner who bought a strange necklace from the murdered traveller. It was a rare artefact brought from Japan, attached to a legend that anyone who takes it unlawfully will soon die.
